Leo & Natalia Petrulli along with their friends, Dan and Chrissy Kusic, from Pennsylvania were enjoying their vacation here in Fort Lauderdale and decided to charter the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As the two couples boarded the boat, they were greeted by the Topshotfishing team. Leo, an avid fisherman with a couple of Blue Marlins caught in Hawaii under his belt, requested to catch some eating fish and to do some Shark fishing.

We stopped on the way out to purchase some live Goggle Eyes from T&T Bait in Port Everglades to be used for Shark fishing. We headed out to the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale located in 120 ft. of water, 1.8 miles from shore. We started off trolling with two #8 plainers down, both plainers had sea witches with double hooked Bonito strips behind them. For surface baits we had three Ballyhoos. With a strong current, I headed towards some of our 34 artificial wrecks located in Fort Lauderdale. Our first fish was a Barracuda from the right outrigger, which Chrissy reeled in. Natalia was up next, and she reeled in a Kingfish from the plainer rod. Dan and Leo were the next anglers up and both of them caught Kingfish.

It was time to do some Shark fishing, so we set out one kite with two live Goggle Eyes, along with one surface and one bottom Shark bait. After an hour and fifteen minutes into this, we had three chop offs from the kite but no Sharks. We went back to trolling as all the anglers took turns reeling in more fish. The total catch was five (5) Kingfish, six (6) Barracudas and one nice Tuna.

It was time to head back to the dock, so the anglers retired into the well appreciated a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Bar located at 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316. At the dock, Dave, our mate filet out the Tuna and Kingfish to be served for tonight's dinner.
