Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

I am excited to report that the hot holiday fishing kicked up a notch this week as some big wahoo showed up off Ft. Lauderdale. The Lady Pamela had the reels screaming with fish in excess of 40 pounds slamming trolled baits in 180 feet of water. We have also had dolphin, a few kings and some blackfin tunas on the troll. The kite fishing with live goggleyes for sailfish has continued to be crazy, with just about a sailfish or two hooked up on every kite fishing trip. The drift fishing has been hit or miss this week, with mixed bags of snappers, grunts and gray triggerfish. We also seem to land one or two kings that are attracted to all the bait in the water on each trip.
