Fishing in Ft. Lauderdale early October

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Once again the old well used saying that "time flies when you are having fun" is dead on. It is October already, and fall is in the air. Of course we are continuing to experience the mid 80s here on our fishing trips in FT. Lauderdale. That is expected. No drought here, scattered showers in the forecast most every day, also as expected. Just rolling in myself from Maine getaway. Mostly beautiful weather, leaves are beautifully changing, and mid 40s lately at night. Great vacation, great people, but I'm heading south for the winter like the ducks. T shirts and shorts on most days at least for a while for me. Lots of warm weather remains. Care to join us? Bring the kids, and lets have fun and let the time fly. Enjoy the pictures in this report of anglers and fish that have joined us aboard Marlin My Darlin for some family fun on a deep sea fishing charter here in Fort Lauderdale. Kingfish continue along the reef lines and also are lingering on structures that hold baitfish, and the baitfish migration as they too head south is picking up speed. These Kings have begun to condense into shallower water as the slightly perceptible change in water temperatures has begun downward. The hard fighting full grown Bonito are right in there with them. Amberjacks on the deeper wrecks continue to add horsepower and seriously bend the rods. Every day this time of year a chance for a Wahoo, Sail or Tunas. Good fun, good times, and time is flying by, don't let it fly by without you. Get that dingy off the trailer if you are a local and join us here if you are visiting. See you on the rip, here comes Fall.
