Deep Sea Fishing in Fort Lauderdale

Fall has arrived and the magic switch has turned on!!! The annual migration of the Mullets is heading down the southeast coast of Florida from shallow waters on the beach out past the third reef. On the beach, the Tarpons and Snooks are having a feeding festival, and other predators, such as Barracudas and Sharks, are not too far behind.
One of the reasons Southeast Florida has many Bill Fish tournaments during this time of the year is due to the migration of Mullets.

An early influx of Sailfish has arrived. For the past week the Sailfish have been seen and caught in tight in 70 ft. to 90 ft. of water, even in the "green" water. We had some good action this week with Kingfish and Wahoo fishing, as well as a Mako Shark that was caught by the Topshotfishing team in 250 ft. of water.

Schools of Bullets (small Bonitos) have also made an appearance – these are excellent live baits to use for Wahoos, Sailfish, and Sharks – in reality for all predators. A 64" Wahoo was caught by the Topshotfishing team this week on a live Bonito bait in 150 ft. of water off of Fort Lauderdale.

Now is the time to enjoy deep sea sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale.
