Fort Lauderdale Florida Fishing Report

Capt. Andy Roydhouse
March 17, 2008
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

The bite and weather has been hot. We had some great offshore action during the past week. Most boats were getting shots at multiple Sailfish, up until Sunday. The winds went west and shut off the bite a bit. We did get Kingfish and a Bluefish while on it's way heading to New Jersey.

The Dolphin were coming through, in close on Saturday. We had our share but no real monsters, we kept a few great eaters though. The wind is honking now and for the next few days. I stayed inshore today and kept busy with Barracuda and Jack Crevalle. Always a place to bend a rod if you have the inshore bite dialed in.

Sea Ya,
Captain Ron Mallet

Fort Lauderdale Fishing Forecast:

This is a great time of year to hit the water with some bait and luck. It should continue to get better as we close in on April.
