Fort Lauderdale Report 3/26/26 -Don't Tell Mom Sportfishing

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Weekly Fishing Report | Don't Tell Mom Sportfishing – South Florida

Fishing over the past week has been very solid, with a great mix of species and steady action throughout. Conditions varied quite a bit day to day, ranging from calm, sunny weather to breezier conditions, along with changing current—but no matter what, we were able to stay on the fish.

There was lots of Blackfin Tuna around this week, providing consistent action and keeping the rods bent. When the tuna are in like that, it makes for fast-paced fishing and plenty of excitement for everyone on board.

We also caught Mahi throughout the week, always a welcome sight and a great sign as seasonal patterns continue to shift. In addition to the Mahi we caught a few stud Crevalle Jacks these fish are pound for pound one of the toughest fighting fish and added to the variety of the catch.

Sailfish were also in the mix, giving anglers the chance to hook into one of the most exciting gamefish in South Florida. Even with changing conditions, there were still opportunities for those putting in the time to connect with them.

Along the reef and wrecks, we caught some big Barracudas, which delivered aggressive strikes and strong fights, especially on lighter tackle.

One of the standout catches of the week was a huge Sandbar Shark, which provided a serious battle and an unforgettable experience for our anglers. These fish are incredibly powerful and always make for a memorable trip.

Overall, it was a great week with a strong variety of species and consistent action despite the changing conditions. As we continue moving toward spring patterns, we expect the fishing to stay active with even more opportunities ahead.

If you're looking to get out on the water and experience it for yourself, now is a great time to book.
