Ft. Lauderdale deep sea fishing report

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Good weather and good fishing have combined to make this a favorable fishing report update as we reach the midway point of October. Very comfortable sea conditions, not too many showers, not too much heat, and some pretty good catches for our anglers on their fishing charters in Ft. Lauderdale. Sailfish are working the reefs and just offshore. Bally Hoo are moving closer to shore and the Sails in addition to cruising the outer edges are also showing more and more up inside as they pursue these baitfish. Mahi-Mahi in small schools in these same depths. Wahoo just off the reefs and out into 500 feet of water, which is only a couple of miles outside our inlet. Blackfins and their cousins the Bonitos. We have had nice Mutton Snappers and larger Jacks on the wrecks. Sizable Barracudas along the reefs but some wrecks holding them as well. Swordfish activity offshore and we will finally get our chance at them tomorrow, our first Swordfish charter in a while. Father and son charter, and everybody is looking forward to the opportunity to get out there in the deep and try them. So the fishing within two miles of shore in depths up to 500 feet is quite productive with good fish and good action and we will be changing up and heading off into water in excess of 1500 feet in the morning. Expensive bucket list offshore fishing charter for our anglers, wish them and us luck. So good luck and tight lines also to all of you from all of us here @ Marlin My Darlin Sportfishing charters. See you on the rip.
