Swordfish started biting good this week in Fort Lauderdale. The night before last we had an awesome trip catching a gigantic swordfish. First mate Dave did an awesome job rigging the baits and getting everything set perfect. The fish ate our 175ft deep bait with a green strobe light rigged about 10ft from the bait. Fish fought hard for over an hour before we were able to get the harpoon in him. This was our only bite of the night, no other hits or knockdowns. It only takes one! Awesome fish and fun time had by all. The swordfishing picks up in May and June. At New Lattitude Swordfishing, we specialize in big game fishing. Our main targets are sailfish, sharks, swordfish and marlin. If it's big, that's what we fish for. Call us anytime for a charter for big game.
