Mahi Mahi Are here in full force!

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

The Mahi Mahi fishing continues to be the highlight of our sportfishing trips starting at only $150 (Best Deal In Town). We have had numerous trips of limits for our anglers which is 10 per person.

The fish have been around 5 pounds each, however we have been spotting bigger fish outside the schools from the tower and coaching our clients where to pitch the bait. =The smaller fish are exciting on light tackle and taste slightly better than your bigger fish as well.

The frigate birds have been giving away the locations of the schools along with a hard edge in about 500 feet. Utilizing our large towers, we are able to put you on the fish fast.

The winds are supposed to die down and I expect our typical summer pattern to set in of calm seas and hot temperatures. Remember all our boats have full ice cold a/c and bathroom if you needed to escape the action for a few minutes.

Staying a bit closer to shore on our half day trips we have been finding some great rod bending action including nice kingfish, bonita and blackfin tuna. =The mahi have even been in the mix in shallow chasing baits on the surface and around weed patches.

On on drift fishing tour for $45, we are seeing some great fishing on the morning and evening trips.  Recently our lucky anglers have been getting into some hogfish! This is one of my favorite fish of the sea to eat and typically are caught by spearfishing while diving. Hogfish have a delicious white meat and if you are lucky enough with help from our captain and mate, you just might catch one of these elusive fish.

The mangrove snapper, yellowtail and muttons are snapping on the reef as well. Leave it to us to put you on the bite whether you are an experienced angler or new to fishing.

Remember, we provide everything including all the fishing gear, licenses, coolers, ice and cleaning of your catch. All you have to do is show up and bring whatever you want to eat or drink.

That's the report for now. I still have openings for June and we are booking up July already. I have many options for solo anglers as well as groups up to 62 people including kids fishing birthday parties.

Tight Lines,

Captan David
