Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Great fishing this week on our night anchor trips. I love fishing at night. Especially during the summers when the weather is hot, night trips offer a cool time to go out there and fish in comfort. It can be brutally hot on our day time trips. Even with the A/C cabin, the summer is HOT. But nights are the perfect temperature for fishing Fort Lauderdale in summer. Lately, the snapper fishing has been incredibly hot at night. Yellowtails, mangroves and mutton snappers are all biting good. The summer is known for great snapper fishing and the snapper bite seems exceptionally good this year.

A few nights this week, we really crushed the yellowtail snappers. On our best night this week, we caught over 160 snappers plus a lot of grunts and porgies and other bottom fish. Snappers snap on certain nights, and some nights they don't. These coming months are the best time of year for snapper fishing where the nights they snap outnumber the nights when they don't. It's a great time to come out there and you have the potential to do very well.

It's a great month to come fishing, whether you do morning, afternoon or evening. But the night is extra good and you could catch a great number of fish on select nights. Good luck to everyone on all our trips this week. I hope the fish bite and you catch 'em up!
