Fishing Report for Ft. Lauderdale & Port Everglades

Capt. Cary Hanna
April 20, 2007
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

It's gonna be a good season!

Mahi-Mahi are showing up in our waters more and more these days, and they love live bait. I heard of a catch in Jupiter of a 72 pound Bull Dolphin which is great to hear.

The best catch on our boat was today, Friday when we landed a Bull Dolphin estimated at 40 pounds. Our lady angler on board put the right touch on him and he came right to her. I put the gaff into him and as soon as he hit the deck he went crazy and almost jumped out of the boat.

We also ran into a nice school of Dolphin that put us all in the chines fire drill. We put 4 in the boat and lost 3 others. It was one of the fastest and greatest times on the water. Please go to my websites photo page to see pictures.

I would be fishing every fishable day right now to get on some nice trophy fish with great meat quality. Come aboard for a great time with or without fish. Its a great time to be on the water!

See you on the rip!
