Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report

Capt. Andy Roydhouse

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Its been a while since my last update. I've waited for things to make a big change before updating the report. Well they have, lots of wind and rain. I guess we need the rain but the wind combined has kept most anglers at the dock. I did manage to sneak out a few days with vikings onboard and we did bend the rods. Dolphin, Kingfish, Sailfish and Bonito. What you would expect this time of year and especially with all the east wind packing the fish close to shore.

I'll be making another attempt today. If the ocean holds us in I'll be able to update you on the inshore scene. There is some mullet in the canals and a few Jacks, Tarpon and Snook around them. The best bet is to fish early or late to get the bite. More important though is to fish the moving tides.

Sea Ya,

Captain Ron Mallet
