Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

With winter gone and the time change in effect it is official, spring is here! This is one of the best times of year to fish this area as it is in many areas. The fish are heading north and swimming right through our waters.

The canals and ICW are holding a good amount of Jack Crevalles and the Barracudas are biting decent as well. The key is to have a few frisky live baits onboard and cover some ground until you find them. A couple of Tarpon jumped the baits this week too but they won the game.

Offhore it is the usual spring action. Sailfish, Kingfish, Dolphin, Cobia, Bonita, Shark, Wahoo and all the rest of the list. You just need to luck out and cross thier paths as they head north. Yes it does happen and when it does, it can be great.
