Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report

Capt. Andy Roydhouse
June 5, 2004
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Already into June and summer time conditions. We have had a stretch of beautiful weather. We are missing the afternoon rains that usually cool things off. The fish action is a bit on the quiet side this week. The full moon has given them lots of time to feed during the evening and this keeps them picky during the day. This pattern should be gone anyday now. The Kingfish are still wacking baits. We did get a lonely Sailfish to eat this week and it was one of the largest I have seen in our waters. It took just under to 2 hours to land on spinning tackle.

The Dolphin, Bonita and Snapper should be picking up the summer action soon. I'll be there to meet them.
