Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report

Capt. Andy Roydhouse
November 14, 2005
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

We are finally getting out again after Hurricane Wilma. It did stir up things but all is well. The area did get wacked but the damage was very severe in spots and just a pain in others. I did get away easy and have spent some time on the water lately.

The Kingfish are cooperating well. Lots of Cero Mackerel once you get closer to shore. We did get a few shots at Sailfish and let a few go this week. The Dolphin are hit or miss offshore, mostly smaller schoolies but a few rod benders are mixed in.

This is the start of our fall push of fish. The evenings are cooling and the Northeast winds are blowing. This is what we want to move the gamefish into our zip code. It is getting better everyday and should continue this way throughout the winter months.

Sea Ya,
