Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

It’s like summertime!

The Dolphin (Mahi-mahi) are biting good! Quite a few decent size fish too. 20 to 45 lbs. We had 25 fish 2 days ago. Most were school size and a few were over 10 lbs. The fish were on a small weed line in 580 feet of water. They were eating ballyhoo.

We did catch quite a few AJs on the wrecks. The sharks are still on the wrecks and some Hammerheads sharks in 350 ft of water. They are still eating kingfish heads.

The Sails have been decent when the wind was out of the NE.

The Kingfish have still been biting to the South of Dania. They are eating strips being trolled and drifting or slow trolling with live bait in 70 to 100 feet of water.

We had one Wahoo this week trolling a strip in 120’ of water.

There have been some real nice sized Swordfish being caught on the nights that we can get out there. One fish caught was 300 lbs.

Catch-em-up,

Captain Kunta
