Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Boat yard blues

We are presently in the boat yard, painting, cleaning and sharpening a few hooks. We should be out of here in a couple of weeks.

This doesn’t mean that we still don’t go fishing.

The Swordfish bite has been outstanding this week, with reports of 5 to 10 bites a night and fish over 200 lbs on the dock. We fish on other boats and we can recommend the “next” best fisherman we know.

The reef has King Mackerel, Bonitos and even a few Sailfish are being caught. The weather has been calm and hardly anyone is out there. This is due to the lack of tourist this time of year and maybe even due to the price of gas and fuel.

Catch-em-up,

Captain Kunta
