Fort Lauderdale, FL - Offshore

Capt. David Ide
March 23, 2000
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

The March winds have improved the fishing as expected.

Kite fishing, we caught Big Dolphin 20 to 45 lbs this week along with Sailfish, Wahoo and Sharks.

On the reefs were Bonitas and a few King Mackeral. Some nice Mutton Snappers were also caught around the shallow reef wrecks.

The wrecks produced some Warsaw Groupers near the full moon. The Amberjacks and Sharks were also plentiful.

Some reports of Swordfish being caught 15 miles offshore at night. The fish were from 80 lbs. to 375 lbs. We will be ready to fish for these Swordfish next month.

Catch-em-up,

Capt. Kunta
