Fort Lauderdale, FL - Offshore

Capt. David Ide
April 11, 2000
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Dolphin, Dolphin & more Dolphin!

From 3 lbs. to 45 lbs. They are everywhere. Most of the fish are in being caught in 120 to 400 feet of water. Boats going too far offshore are not finding them.

Thresher Sharks have showed up and they are averaging 350 lbs. We have also been catching Hammerheads and Blacktips.

Amberjacks and groupers were biting on the wrecks. We have also found a few cobias on the wrecks. All these fish are biting live baits.

Big Kingfish are on the reef. We have been catching them with live bait out of the kite.

The Swordfish bite has slowed down, but if the wind lays down, we will be out there.

Catch-em-up,

Capt. Kunta
