October 3rd, 2011
Today we had Kim and Brain from Rode Island out for a few hours of fishing off the coast of South Florida aboard the Hooked Up.

As it turned out the seas were a bit on the rough side and we only ended up fishing for a short time BUT it didn't take long for them to land a nice Wahoo and a big barracuda.
Kim and Brain thanks again for fishing with us aboard the hooked up and please e-mail us the pictures we would love to post them.

James and Holly fish aboard hooked Up 4 SAILFISH
October 2nd, 2011
Here we are in the beginning of Oct and that means the sailfish should start showing up.
This morning we got a last min call from James and Holly from Texas and they were looking to do some big game fishing off the coast of Fort Lauderdale Florida.
Today I decided to take the day off and have my son Luis takes my place aboard the Hooked Up along with Captain J.J.
As it turned out I missed out on some good fishing.
So off they went J.J., Luis, James and Holly and they were going right after big sailfish.
Out went the 2 kites with 2 live baits suspended from each kite.
It only took a little while till BAM up popped this sailfish and just like that the fight was on.
James was in for a good 20 min back and forth tug a war. All the time this sail was putting on this great show dancing all over the surface. James would gain 5 inches and the sail would take all 5 back.
Finally James got his sailfish to the side of the boat. They got a couple quick photos and a measurement to have a replica trophy made of his catch and right back to the sea he went to fight again another day.

Luis and J.J. were as surprised as they could be when James said ok mission accomplished and back to the dock we went.
James and Holly thanks again for fishing with us aboard the Hooked Up.

This was Luis's first fishing trip since he got back from Kona Hawaii 2 days ago and it seems his luck just keeps following him around everywhere he goes.
I am writing this fishing report on the 9 of Oct and since this trip in the last 2 weeks he has caught 18 different species of fish ranging from Pacific Blue Marlin to Atlantic Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Tarpon, snook 3 different kinds of snappers to sharks and the list goes on and on.
Nice going kid keep up the good work.

Hi my name is Taco and I run one of the best charter fishing boats down here in South Florida. WHY? Because I’ve been fishing the waters down here since 1969 and I started at the bottom and worked my way up the ladder. I know what it is like to read a web site and than once you get to boat things are not as you thought they would be. Not here I say it like it is. No surprises. I’ve got a 45 foot Hatteras with a big cock pit. Fully aircondishened and refrigerated. Big comfortable platform.
