Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report
February 10, 2016
Fishing has been quite good everywhere this week, from the reefs to offshore. The Lady Pamela III driftboat really had a nice catch of snappers today, including both vermilions and yellowtails. The sailfish have been hot on the kites all week as the Lady Pamela II went 2 for 4 on sailfish using live goggle eyes. Blackfin have been the big catch on the troll, and we also caught and released a couple of nice hammerheads out in 350 feet of water off Ft. Lauderdale.
February 11, 2016
The snapper fishing was hot again today on both the reef and in deeper water on some wrecks. The driftboat brought in another bunch vermilion and yellowtail snappers, as well as a couple of kingfish. Another one of the other Lady Pamela boats worked some wrecks offshore, landing a boxload of yellow eye snappers, black snappers, and a couple of 20 lb. plus snowy groupers. A cold front is headed our way today so the fishing should continue to be good through the weekend, and into next week.
Tight Lines,
Capt. David Ide
