Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report
This morning we had some repeat customers from Brazil fish with us. It warmed up a bit with the switch to the wind back to east. There was a trickle of south current with very little wind so we trolled around and we saw a few sailfish but they never found our bait adding to the slow fishing whoos. Then the last hour and a half of the trip we hooked up with a beauty of a Wahoo! Marcos fought the Wahoo for almost a whole hour. It kept running and running time and time again. We boated the Wahoo and headed back in!
In the afternoon we had a bunch of guys from MN. Still no sign of wind so we trolled into the south current and we caught a few kings and a shocker of a Blackfin tuna. Then all of the sudden we saw a sail flare up and our left long starts going crazy! Yeah baby! Sailfish on! Josh Black fought the sailfish for about 45 minutes before we brought it in. It lit up several times during the fight and brought excitement to all.
