Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing report for the week ending 5/1/2011

April went out with wa rmer than normal water and air temperatures and several windy days making tarpon fishing off the beaches hard at best. There are a few fish being taken but no large numbers yet.

Bay fishing has been good with a good variety, sea trout, spanish mackerel, bluefish and small sharks are plentiful. shinners work best free lined on a circle hook.Redfish and snook have been ok but not great, many of the snook are beginning to head to the beaches to spawn.

We still have a couple of openings for Tarpon in May and June contact us to get your reservation.
