Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

You have so many options at this time of the year. Redfish and snook are in the backwaters and trout, sheepshead and pompano are hanging around grass flats and oyster bars. Live pilchards and shrimp work the best for bait. Fish the higher stages of the tide around mangrove shorelines and oyster bars using a popping cork or freelined baits.

There's a variety of fish being caught off the shallow water wrecks. Cobia, gag grouper, redfish, flounder and spanish mackeral are just to name a few. Work the whole water column with pinfish and pilchards.
