The mornings have been a little chilly so no need to get an early start. The past couple of weeks the tides were best late morning into the early afternoons. Redfish and snook are biting well before the fronts using whitebait on a 2/0 circle hook around the shorelines. Trout are hear one day and gone the next two days. Look for clean water on grass flats and this where you'll find them. It's that time of the year for sheepshead camping around the oysters and nearshore wrecks. Shrimp on a jig head or a split shot with a #1 j-hook with 20# flourocarbon leader will entice them. Can't wait for spring when the cobia and tarpon start their migrations!

I specialize in light tackle saltwater fishing in the pristine backbays and nearshore wrecks of Southwest Florida. Whether we're targeting snook, redfish, or trout in the backbays or cobia, permit, shark, grouper, or tarpon on the wrecks. Whether you're a novice or an expert angler, i will take great pride sharing my knowledge and insight to provide my anglers with an enjoyable experience. Kids are always welcomed.
