Cool Weather Means Hot Bites

Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Guys: Now the time to get on the water, with the cooler weather the fish are on a winter over bait binge. We had great trout and redfish action throughout the region. First of the pompano blitzes seems to be on it's way. Crews found snook in their winter-over haunts with special attention to the feeder creeks.
Trout bites are going ballistic with flies, topwater and softplastics all taking a share. There are plenty of jacks and ladyfish to keep fly guys busy, nothing fancy but loads of excitement; the ladies make great cut bait. Check out the passes and bridges for mixed bag drift fishing and shots at rolling tarpon.
