The Dagger to the Heart of Our Fishery in SW FL happens 2nite

Capt. John GiddyUp-Bunch
January 11, 2010
Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Our fishery is in a tremendous state of emergency. Thousands of snook have been lost over the last 2 nights. Tonight could be the bullet to the back of the head.

As for P.E.T.A. where are those [expletive deleted] when you need them? There are scores of Marinas whereby these [expletive deleted] could submerge high intensity fish lights (with high intensity warmth) to extend "ethical treatment of animals." Instead these NIMRODS jump in kayaks with pierced ears, noses, and lips the proceed to bang paddles on their kayaks as to ruin my fishing trips. I loathe these [expletive deleted] as it is not about the animals but the publicity. If you are a PETA type, look me up in St James City, Fl. We have no stop light so I'm real easy to find.

With this said, leadership comes in many forms. If my organization stood for protecting fish of any kind and action could be taken before a cold front, JUST DO IT. Take money from your precious f-treasury and warm big dock areas where thousands of snook lost their life.

LET ME SAY THIS. NOT 1 snook was killed in my canal because about 7 of us have the fishing light (www.underwaterfishlight.com) a Port Charlotte outfit who services what he sells and has a great product. I'm pissed and perhaps I need a time out. My point is simple. We can use solar energy on the winter to warm out canals and dock areas in emergency conditions.
