Estero Bay and Nearshore Wreck Fishing off Ft. Myers Beach!

Capt. Scott Theis
October 2, 2012
Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing the nearshore wrecks is amazing at this time of the year. The cobia are starting their migration south and the gag grouper are moving in while the water temps are cooling off. Pinfish are working really good for both species. Also, big mackeral and bonito are chasing the bait pods. White bait and silver spoons are the way to entice these fish.

Fishing the northern part of Estero Bay is producing redfish, snook, mangrove snapper and jacks. Live pilchards or finger mullet has been the ticket for the redfish and snook.
