Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

By 11AM, it is smokin' hot in SW FL. We have been getting creamed with early AM and PM thunder storms. No extra charge for lightening!
Anyway, fishing has been pretty good with a few tarpon still hanging around.
Snook: Lots of snook on the beach and lots of snook on the way to the beach. Finding bait remains a HUGE DEAL for many guides. It is tough to explain. Remember catch and release through the summer.
Tarpon: A few late departers are hanging around and making themselves avail. Most of the fish are right up near the beach. I have never caught a tarpon from the beach and it has to be an amazing thing to do. Most fish are in the 60-80 range.
Trout: Tons of trout in 5-6ft of water in front of the A-Frames and Tri-Pod right next to the Sanibel Bridge.
Redfish: i'm looking for them tomorrow for a charter on Tue.
