Fort Myers Night Fishing For Snook Has Been Awesome

Capt. Eric Anderson
July 25, 2014
Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

If you're tired of the dog days of summer, than there is no better way to beat the heat than night fishing. I'm not talking about fishing the lights at residential canal docks. There is excellent fishing just about anywhere there is some reflected light that shines on the water. High rise condos, bridges, and any other source of light is a great place to fish. These areas hold some very big Snook that are not getting the pressure that they are in the traditional areas. The last few nights have been very good with calm winds. Both my light tackle and fly fishing clients have tangled with some very large Snook, and they can attest to just how hard they strike!

Sorry for the long time span between reports, I've been guiding for Tarpon and Snook nearly everyday and time flies by. Thanks for your email and calls. I will keep these reports coming, and remember that the best Tarpon fishing of the entire year is coming this fall :)
