Big Gator Trout going down on Yo-Zuri Lure

Capt. John GiddyUp-Bunch
February 22, 2009
Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Ah yes fellow fish fanatics. How about that for a headliner? There is good news in this report and bad news. As always, it comes with a 100% no BS guarantee (and BS does not stand for Bachelor of Science). No bull is my best clue.

Redfish have been tough for me to find even with chumming to the max with Ladyfish. This is the bad news plus some dickhead as ascertained that our Gag Grouper are in trouble from Inshore to 9 Miles which gets me right back to BS. It is total and total bogus Gag Grouper are in trouble per State Waters in Lee County. Why would I know this. Yours truly sits on the Lee County Reef Committee. Grouper has been taken away for Feb and March. This means no grouper trolling for GiddyUp. This means cancelled charters. I could go off really easily but I must give these toads the B of D. Benefit of Doubt.

Good News? In deeper Pot Holes GiddyUp Fishing Charters have scored some roghteous size trout. 4-5LB Specs are pretty nice fish on ultra-light tackle. 2-6LB Rogue Rod (5FT) and a Model 10 Catalyst with Yo-Zuri Invisible Fishing Line and Leader. I think it makes a difference to fish invisible line, leader, and sinkers. Sinkers? Yup. That is no misprint.

The new Yo-Zuri lure is THE BOMB if you can find them. The whole lure changes colors in the water column. The first time I ever saw this thing in good light conditions, I had an ACID FLASHBACK. Dudes, I was seeing reds, greens, and purples. As a matter of fact, I had to sit down. (Those years living in San Francisco were a "real journey" if you get my drift. If I ever run for elected office, I'll just say I never inhaled. Anyway, more about this lure. It has amazed thus far. The name of it? Ain't tellin'! As you know, I ain't like that so here we go. It is their new Sashimi Minnow 130F (Yo-Zuri) and it has a new sound system. I'm not sure if this lure plays acid rock, country, or classical but the VIBES drive the Big Trout crazy! NO BS, NO BULL!
GiddyUp!

Fort Myers Fishing Forecast:

Towards the next moon phase, excellent.
