BOOK TARPON NOW!
The middle of April has arrived and the transition from small fish to big fish is gradually taking place. Sharks, Tarpon, Gag Grouper, and Goliath Grouper have been regular visitors to my boat over the last couple of weeks. I have really put the new Penn Battle 8000's to test and so far they have performed brilliantly.

The beaches are starting to come alive with bait pods, mackerel, sharks, tarpon, snook, and even the trout have made their way out to spawn. Snook fishing is very much improved from last year's freeze that depleted most of our snook in the Northern Pine Island area. I have had many outstanding snook trips over the last few weeks. Redfish are also biting well. This is the time of year that tides begin to get higher and the fish will push up to our mangrove keys in large concentrations.

I am also excited to announce that I have accepted the invitation to fish The Madfin Shark Series. Many of you may have seen it on ESPN last year when it was filmed in Key West. This year they will be filming a show out of Pine Island, Fl which is right in my back door. I will be fishing with my father so I am counting down the days and beginning to touch up on my shark skills. I must say, I am not too excited about having to get the hook out of their mouth but they award bonus points so I better give it a shot! There will be 4 teams fishing two days with the top 3 teams advancing to day 3 to determine the winner.

I hope this report finds everyone doing well and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. I currently only have 3 mornings open until June 4th so if you are planning on booking a trip, you may want to do so soon. I do have a few afternoon dates available as well.
C-ya on the water!
