Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

This time of the year cobia are migrating south and can be caught on artificial offerings and live bait. The key is anchoring right. Make sure to stay off the structure a bit and anchor down current. Choice of baits are pinfish and pichards. Be ready for them as they can pop up at anytime so have a freelinned live bait or an artificial eel. Also, the mangrove snapper bite is still going strong with mackeral, jacks and small grouper mixed in.

The back bays are still producing double digit catches of redfish. Look for good moving water and deep shorelines with small baits circling the island. There's plenty of jacks, flounder and snook fishing the same areas. Pilchards will entice the bite.

Plenty of action fishing the back bays of Estero and the nearshore wrecks off Fort Myers Beach. Get out on the water and have fun with family and friends!
