Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Due to the cool weather there's plenty of flounder layed up just on the outside edges of these wrecks. The choice of rig is a 3/8 oz jighead with a pilchard. Also, thers's been a lot of tripletail sitting on the crab traps this past few weeks. A pilchard or a shrimp will get the job done. The gag grouper bite is still going strong with some good size spanish mackeral mixed in.

The back bays and creeks are still producing great snook action with sheepshead, redfish and flounder in the mix. Were using the old shrimp under a popping cork to entice these fish. On the higher tides I like a 1/4 oz jighead with a shrimp tossed under a nice overhang.

I specialize in light tackle saltwater fishing in the pristine backbays and nearshore wrecks of Southwest Florida. Whether we're targeting snook, redfish, or trout in the backbays or cobia, permit, shark, grouper, or tarpon on the wrecks. Whether you're a novice or an expert angler, i will take great pride sharing my knowledge and insight to provide my anglers with an enjoyable experience. Kids are always welcomed.
