Fishing report for the week ending 6/19/2011
Its hot and sticky out there and with no rain in sight areas not around the passes with slow water flow are sometimes rivers of grass.But the sharks don"t mind it, Lemon"s, blacktips, bulls and hammerheads are all thru the bay and off the beaches. I will be co-hosting ESPN"S reeltalk radio this saturday from Cape Harbour 7-9am am 770 for the beginning of the are you man enough shark tournament listen in!.
There is still good trout and mackerel fishing near the passes photo of Greg Hartman and his daughter with a nice slot trout. Live shinners are working best free linned.
Michael D"angelo caught this nice trout free linning a shinner near a oysterbar.
Tarpon are still on the beaches but you need to get out early to beat the heat, they just don"t seem to eat much in the heat of the day.
