Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

We've had some beautiful weather in Southwest Florida and that means great fishing. There are so many different kind of species to target at this time of year. We target redfish and snook back in the creeks as the water cools off or trout on the grass flats to sheepshead and flounder around the oyster bars. Using live pilchards for the redfish has been the ticket and shrimp under a popping cork for the trout and flounder.

The naershore wrecks has changed a bit. We went from catching cobia and grouper to catching flounder, snapper, sheepshead and pompano. Using a 3/8 jighead and a fresh piece of shrimp is keeping my clients busy. If you like to have a nice fish fry these fish are the best in town.
