Fishing Estero Bay is providing my anglers great action with big jacks and snook. There's still some small fronts passing through and it slows the fishing for a day. Were targeting these fish around mullet schools that are hanging around oyster bars and mangrove shorelines. Last half of the incoming tide seems to be more productive. A freelined thread herring is the bait of choice. There is a few trout around so look for clean water and a healthy grass flat in about 3-4' of water. A popping cork with a live shrimp will get it done.

The wrecks are holding small cobia with some keeper gag grouper. Season opens July 1st for the gag grouper. We went 0-6 on two tarpon trips this past week. That's tarpon fishing! Still have some opening for tarpon trips.

I specialize in light tackle saltwater fishing in the pristine backbays and nearshore wrecks of Southwest Florida. Whether we're targeting snook, redfish, or trout in the backbays or cobia, permit, shark, grouper, or tarpon on the wrecks. Whether you're a novice or an expert angler, i will take great pride sharing my knowledge and insight to provide my anglers with an enjoyable experience. Kids are always welcomed.
