Low Tides Next Week Time For Schools Of Reds

Capt. Mark Yimin
September 6, 2013
Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

This past week was VERY good for Redfish and Snook. They can be found at the higher stages of the tides up near the bushes. Don't be surprised if the dolphin follow you around all day too looking for an easy meal! We've had three this week come inches from stealing our Reds. Next week is going to bring low tides in the middle of the day and early morning. That means schools of Redfish will be all over any one of the productive flats in Estero Bay. These fish can be schooled in as little as 10, to as many as 100 fish. There is nothing like stalking them in shallow water and making a presentation with live or artificials. Top water plugs are a sight to see the fish have trouble grabbing the lure and often make two or three swipes at it before finally getting a hold of it. I have a couple open days for next week so if you want to chase some schools of Reds and experience catching and not fishing give me a call!
