Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

First the good news. For a very brief period amounting to 3 Hours, the winds went calm. Just between you and me, it was like a Christmas Miracle. The past 6 weeks has been more windy than a anytime in our history. Needless to say,
bitching about it is getting old and no other option is available than to fish. Tarpon first.
Bait for Tarpon (Threadfin Herring) has been available for those smart enough to throw a Calusa fast sinking net (5/8's mesh). Fishing outside off Knapps Point has not been an option for most customers because they get seasick, hurl, and get seasick, and hurl some more. (Serious chunkage as well). Several Charters have gone perfectly (people yelling bad names at me because we are scoring Tarpon and boats around us are watching) and other days boats 150YDS away are scoring as me and my customers lust. There is no expalation. Anyway, the big Silver Kings are still on their way so the season should extend well into June.

Snook: Some of the snook have been HUGE! One customer promised to send me a picture of the 32LB he caught on a GiddyUp trip on Tue. For the first time since reporting on Cyber Angler I dared to explore "uploading" a picture and posting it along with my report. For years I worked for IBM and sold computers but never knew how to operate them myself. (I use to bribe the smokin' hot Support Specialist to do all my typing plus add incredible looks to the entire dog and pony show. Worked like a charm too)....Anyway, no such babes exist for me today so I hope it turns out.
Big Trout are on the beach and the whole freakin' area is on FIRE! It is a very good time to be fishing SW FL. I have no bad news except the constant wind so Life is Good.
Have not found Tripletail or Pompano for those who wonder about two of my favorites. Few times all year are as good as now. "GiddyUp"
