The nearshore wrecks are getting very fishy with a wide variety of species. Cobia, snook and trout are the main targets with spanish mackeral, snapper and sharks also in the mix. To target cobia, snook and trout you have to get the right bait. Pinfish and pilchards are the prime baits to entice these fish. I like to freeline or pin the bait to the bottom just so your working the whole water column. Gag Grouper season opens July 1st. Can't wait!

The back bays are picking up due to the bait moving in and the early and late evening storms cooling off the water. Redfish is the tareget specie with snook and trout. A freelined pinfish will get the redfish and pilchards rigged with a float will get the trout and snook. Cocentrate on the oyster bars and mangrove shorelines with good moving tides. It's summertime so get out there and have fun!
