Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

My charter yesterday totally sucked. I thought finding tripletail under the noon sun would be a slam dunk. Thank goodness I run a 2008 Honda 225BF because we ran seemingly forever (my charter customer wanted a piece of tail for dinner and I argue with no man who wants that) so he knew of my Triple Tail gas charge. Anyway, 3 Dudes with me is no diff than 3 Dudes going to play golf at a decent track. Anyway, we saw 2-3 pieces of Tail but they were all sub par. Where were their parents? Couldn't find them.

King Mackerel. The migration should be in full swing. See water temp info above as to why they aren't doing the flippin' backstroke in the Gulf of Mexico. It is too F-Cold.

Ladyfish/Redfish. Couldn't find any Ladyfish for Redfish.

Trout. Caught about 22 and released all them safely.

Charter on Thuirs. As always, I'll be honest per these water temps. It is difficult right now. I'm having a tough time but as you know my reports are sworn testimony. It is what it is. A giant Blowski year for fishing thus far especially with Grouper taken away from us. No season on Grouper or Snook really sucks.
