Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Redfish have remained steady with bigger trout showing up more with some cooler weather. Pictured below with a redfish caught on a live shrimp under a popping cork by Kody Milton

.Reds this size have been steadily gaining length and weight and are probably benifitting from the freeze that hurt the snook in 2010.

Pictured above is longtime friend Eric Milton with one of the reds. Below is Kody and friend James. All of these fish were caught fishing oysterbars on higher water with live shrimp under a popping cork on a 4/0 circle hook.

John also caught this nice trout, I am seeing more of these larger trout showing up with the cooler water and air temperatures.

With the cooler temps ladyfish, spanish mackerel and a few pompano are being seen in the bay and near the passes.

Pictured above more reds caught by David Hood and friends.

Weather and fishing look good in the coming week take advantage of the lack of crowds.
