Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report
Temperatures are expected to reach 80 degrees this week and I am beginning to see a few snook migrating their way out of the rivers and creeks. As long as we only have a couple more minor cold fronts, I think we will have bait start showing up by the third week of March. When the bait shows up, so do the Snook! Book your spring fishing trip today!
I am extremely whipped from this long week of fishing so I am going to make this fishing report a little bit shorter this week. Sorry! I have a 6 hour and 4 hour double tomorrow and I am way behind on sleep. I will try not to let this happen again but I am not adapting to the long days of season just yet. Fishing is still improving. I actually had the first snook caught on the flats since the freeze this week. That is a very good sign of things to come. The redfish bite is still improving and more and more fish are showing up everyday. I currently am fishing about 5 different schools of redfish that are holding at least 75 fish. The days with nicer weather have yielded a lot of nice quality redfish. I have included a few pictures from this week. I hope you enjoy.
Come fish beautiful southwest Florida with Capt. Dave Hoke. Experience trophy redfish, snook, and tarpon in the backwaters of Pine Island, Matlacha, and Charlotte Harbor. NO FISH, NO PAY!
