Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

The redfish have showed up in big numbers over the last couple weeks. Groups of 50-100 fish are showing up in there usual areas that they congregate this time of year. On days with nice weather it has been easy for us to target and catch them in large quantities. On the colder, windier days we have been switching our attention over to sheepshead and trout fishing. The sheepshead have been biting well as they get ready for their spawn. Most of the trout are biting in deeper potholes and depressions on days with cold water temperatures. On our warmer days, our trout are spreading out on shallower flats and we have been using Berkley Gulp Shrimp and Jerk Shads to catch them. Most of the redfish we are catching are largeer fish. They have been averaging between 5-12 lbs. We have had a few days over the last couple weeks where we were able to settle schools of redfish and catch them in double digit quantities.
If your visiting the area, check out our website and plan an upcoming fishing trip with us!
Remember, if you book a redfish charter with me and don't catch one..your trip is free!
