Southwest Florida Fishing Report - Bonita Springs to Captiva

Capt. John GiddyUp-Bunch
October 18, 2005
Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Just when fishing starts to return to Pine Islaand Sound like old times, Hurricane Wilma has us in her crosshairs.

Having gone to Biloxi and Pascagoula to assist in S&R after Katrina, it is my plan to say plenty of prayers tonight. Anyway, here's the Scoop for the last week.

Redfish are all over the oyster bars. Pinfish alive or dead work perfectly. These Redfish seem to be on steroids. My charter today scored 18 and none under 23"....

Mangrove Snapper (Keepers) are in and around all docks. We scored upward of 20 on Saturday. Most of them 11" and quite fat.

Tried trolling at the Reefs. ZIP!
