Ft. Myers - Offshore

Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Charlie Comes Ashore

Greetings,

Well fishing fans its been sporty around here! Last week fishing was getting better and better. We caught several huge goliath grouper up to three hundred pounds! Bait was pouring into the area, tarpon had returned to the beach, smoker kings, and permit were here. Then came Charlie.

Hurricane Charlie came in from the South West in Friday afternoon. Much of the area is without power, phone etc. The bad damage is to our North and my prayers go out to those in in the path of Charlie.

Thankfully we are up and operating as normal starting Wednesday of this week. Our boat is fine and our ramps are fine. There is floating debris in the water which should be mostly gone by Wednesday. I will write and interim report as to how the fishing is after that trip.

Thanks and God Bless,

Capt. Rick
