Spring Break Is In Full Swing

Capt. Gary Clark
March 15, 2011
Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing report for the week ending 3/13/2011

Spring break is here with great weather and fishing, after a strong front last week gave us several windy days and cool nights to drop the water temperature we have rebounded nicely.

This time of year its easy to forget what day it is they all seen to run together.Trout fishing is still very good with plenty of slot fish available and with the warming water temperatures we will see some of the big ones like last year. Live shinners are working well but you can still get them on live shrimp and artificials.

Mackerel, pompano, ladyfish and a few bluefish are around the passes and there have been a few tarpon sightings. Snook and redfish slowed a bit with the cooler nights but should rebound with the warmer weather.

Remember Tarpon season will be here soon I still have some open dates in May and June get your reservations now!
