Fort Myers - Saltwater Fishing Report

There's been plenty of rain in the past two weeks so that means dodging thunderstorms. There's a lot of freshwater pushing through Estero Bay and up to 2 miles out in the Gulf. The fishing has slowed down a bit. To locate the fish you have to move around spot to spot. Look for clean water so that means fish the last half of the incoming so the Gulf water can push through the Bay and the first half of the outgoing. The fish are on the smaller size but once you've found that right mangrove shoreline it can be a blast. You'll find redfish, snook, flounder and jacks. choice of bait is a pinfish on a 1/8oz jighead or a 1/0 mutu-lite hook and a #4 split shot 6" above the hook. BE SAFE OUT THERE!

I specialize in light tackle saltwater fishing in the pristine backbays and nearshore wrecks of Southwest Florida. Whether we're targeting snook, redfish, or trout in the backbays or cobia, permit, shark, grouper, or tarpon on the wrecks. Whether you're a novice or an expert angler, i will take great pride sharing my knowledge and insight to provide my anglers with an enjoyable experience. Kids are always welcomed.
