Fishing Report for Ft. Pierce, Florida

Capt. Joe Ward
April 29, 2001
Fort Pierce - Saltwater Fishing Report

INSHORE - The inshore fishing has been good but we have had our share of wind. The snook fishing has been good during the hours just after dark with the bridges producing the most fish. The Inlet has been giving up a few snook on the out going tide when fishing with live bait. The trout action has been good early in the morning when using top water baits and switching to large live shrimp after about 9:00am. The sheephead and snapper bite has been good along the channel edges to the North of the North Bridge. Live shrimp was the best bet here.

SURF - The surf anglers have been reporting a good whiting and blue fish bite. The best day was Wednesday. The best spot was around Ocean Village.

Until next wee, good fishing.

Capt. Joe Ward
