Fort Pierce - Saltwater Fishing Report

Even with trout season being closed there have been a good number of big trout being reported from places like the Moorings, Harbor Branch and the flats just to the south of the North Bridge. Live shrimp have been the bait to use.
The snook action has been off and on with the best bite being around the North Bridge and in the Turning Basin on the tide change. Try using a live mullet, pinfish or a shrimp and fish them slow.
The snapper action has been red hot around the bridges and along the channel edges. Again, shrimp has been the bait of choice. The black drum and flounder are starting to show up in the area with the best catches reported from all the area bridges.
There are still plenty of Spanish mackerel, bluefish, ladyfish and big jacks along the beaches, in the Ft. Pierce Inlet and in the Intercoastal.
Until next week, keep fishing.
